"Break the night with colour" was a hit for Richard Ashcroft in 2006. The former Verve frontman released his third solo album in 2005 and this is probably the best song from that album. The lyrics are all about the ilness of depression yet the song remains fairly upbeat despite the less than cheerful subject matter. This backing track is the same arrangement as the single release and we've put a nice ending on it rather than the fade of the original.
