Track Review:
"Breaking free" was a hit for High School Musical in 2006. High School Musical is a Disney movie that was originally made for cable TV. However, it proved to be so popular on the Disney Channel that a sound-track was released and 'Breaking free' is from that sound track. Our backing track is based on the radio play release version and is a great duet which will suit any male/female vocal duo. High School Musical tends to be of the same ilk as 'Grease' so a great idea is to sing this song just before you launch in to a few songs from Grease. I usually start by singing 'Breaking free' by telling the audience that 'I'm about to sing a song from the movie High School Musical', then when I finish the song, I go on to say '...and if you like movies about high school, then here's some songs from the ultimate high school musical of all time - the movie that started them all....Grease' and I go in to a little medley of Grease songs. Just an idea!
